At the 41st World Heritage Committee Session, Hoh Xil in Qinghai province was recognized as a World Nature Heritage Site while Kulangsu Island in Xiamen, Fujian province was added to the World Culture Heritage Site List. As of now, China has owned 52 World Heritage Sites.
