Toy-maker thinking more grown-up

  One of China's largest toy retailers and distributors is betting on a new market as it looks toward the landscape: grown-ups. China's toy market - on track to become the biggest in the world by 2022, passing the U.S.'s $25 billion industry, according to Bloomberg Intelligence -is seeing more competition in the pop toy arena. The Chinese market for designer toy collectibles is currently valued at $6 billion and will grow by 50% to $9 billion by 2023. (Toy-maker thinking more grown-up, by Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)

  Designer toys are closely related to IP, because they present artists' designs in the form of toys. The copyright owners and designers of toys should attach great importance to IPRs protection and register copyright for every design to protect them.
