According to CNIPA, in 2020, the added value of patent-intensive industries in China reached 12.13 trillion yuan, up 5.8%, accounting for 11.97% of the GDP. The total value of import and export of IP royalties approached 378.3 billion yuan in 2021, of which the export amount was 76.02 billion yuan, up 27.1%.
